TURKISH CLASSICAL MUSIC CAMP
Edremit, July 19th to August 2nd, 2008

We would like to welcome you to the Second Annual Turkish Classical Music Camp in Edremit, offering classes in Qanun, Turkish Makam, Oud, Ney, Violin, Violoncello, Kemenche, Clarinet and Classical Turkish Singing.

The First Annual Turkish Classical Music camp took place in Istanbul and drew great attention. The Second one will be held in Edremit and sponsored by Edremit municipality and the mayor.

Edremit' s Kaz Mountains are known as the second oxygen depot of the world after Swiss Alps and also famous with it's land of hot springs. While these classes will provide a unique experience of culture in Turkish Classical Music, you will also have a chance to see the beautiful sights of Edremit.

The camp includes six days of instruction, as well as providing an opportunity to learn about relevant aspects of Turkish Classical Music through interaction with the well known virtuosos. When you attend our classes daily, you will have the chance to spend time with masters of Turkish Music during dinner and share "Music" in your conversations.

Accommodation is provided in the beach front hotel located in Akcay. One week master classes will include hotel, breakfast, dinner, all day tea and coffee and all transfers.

There are two different choices about the length of our courses. You can either attend 1 week master classes or 2 weeks.
The first week July 19th to 26th 2008
The second week July 27th to August 2nd 2008

Space is limited and reservations are made on the first come, first serve basis.

A Certificate of Training will be awarded upon completion of the program.
